Well... It was my 29th birthday on Saturday and I couldn't think of a thing I would rather do than go to my brothers house for some grilling and baby-holding. I got there around 11 so there was SEVERAL hours that I got to hold some babies before we cooked around 3. Over all it was a good day, I didn't get thrown up on or peed on, so it was fun!
Now I have been accused of giving some crazy gifts in my day, but I have to tell you what... I think Niya's face says it all... Regardless I will wear it with pride whenever appropriate.
I guess we wore Niya out with holding her and stuff so she went to sleep... I have to say that she is an amazingly cute sleeper though...
This baby has the same influence on me as tylenol PM because when she curls up on me and falls asleep, I am soon to follow... Don't worry, if you look close she lets me know if I am snoring too loud.
Well, when we were out at the store we saw Halloween outfits, and even though they were a little too big for them, it was a moral imperative that they had them... No words for how cute they are!
Jeff was either picking Nick's nose or was making him make the b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b noise with his lips...
Nick has the most expressive face, and will most certanly be a ladies man once he learns how to talk rather than just grunt...

Overall it was a great birthday, surrounded by great people. It was nice to get a chance to decompress for a bit before we get into this next week... Our US105 Children's Miracle Network Radiothon starts on Wednesday.

I had heard about this event last year when I was still working in Sales, but didn't really think about it much. This year I have played an integral part in the planning and preparing for the Children's Miracle Network Radiothon. I have done quite a few interviews with families and children that have been affected by the amazing Children's Hospital at Scott& White. While quite a few have turned out to be happy endings where the children have overcome amazing odds to be able to live their lives to the fullest of extents, there have been a few that haven't ended on such a happy note. The girl in the picture above is Stacy Guiteriez and she is 7 years old and has Lukiema. I did an interview with her family and ended up having to sit there with her for quite a long time playing tic-tac-toe with her just so that she would open up and talk to me. She has touched my heart with her strength, and no matter where I go in my life I know that a few of these children will follow me around and give me something to be proud of. If you get a chance to listen, then please do, and if it is within your means to help out, then please do that as well...

I will be updating the US105 website often with pictures so that you can see what is going on with the Radiothon.

Thanks in advance for everything that everyone has done in the past that has gotten me to the point that I am. I hope that this goes well so that we can do amazing things to help these little kids that ask for nothing, but deserve the world.
