Monster Truck Rally

I went to my FIRST EVER Monster Truck Rally on Friday the 24th of January. It was LOUD and the exhaust was so thick that my eyes burned and my head hurt. I also decided that if I had not shaved the mullet off, then I would have fit in perfectly. I took a few pictures before I wondered out to the hallway surrounding the Expo Center to talk to people.

This HUGE trucks actually got pretty good air.

Super nice guy and his grandson with a Monster Truck backdrop

I just wanted to get a picture of this kid crying with his awesome headset, but as soon as I looked at him he stopped.

My new recruits! The lady said that her grandkids were more impressed meeting me than seeing the trucks. They have since told her that the only station they will listen to in the car is my country station here (www.myUS105.com).

You can't see it very well, but this kid has an awesome mo-hawk! I saw him as we were leaving and HAD to have a picture. Now that I have had a mullet (pictures to follow) that a mo-hawk is only the next logical step.

All in all the Monster Truck Rally was loud, smoggy, and fun to watch for about ten minutes. If you are a hunter of mullets like I have been before, you will LOVE it!

Pluckers Bike Night

On January 20th I ended up going out to Pluckers with our Rock Station (Eagle 101.7) for a bike night. It was a good time.

I had to run to get some raffle tickets from a girl and saw this guy at Bushs Chicken. We learned two things that trip... One is that this kid (Chris Riggins) listens to the eagle, and the other is that when they send me out in the Eagle Van I make all kinds of new friends!

This guy owned a Ford Dealership in Killeen so I let him become famous with me standing in front of his Ford Truck.

See how much our DJ has when he is at remotes! Is he sneering at me???

Two nice people that I met named Chris and Nicole.

The coolest server at Pluckers in Killeen. If any of ya'll go there be sure to tip her BIG for me.

Overall, it was a great time had by all at Pluckers for Bike night! Took some fun pictures and made some great new friends. Be sure to check out www.myeagle101.com once it is back online and find out where we will be next!

The Beginning

I have worked at Cumulus Media, which owns our five local radio stations for about a year now. Something different is always happening around the office and I get the chance to attend many different events. Recently I have been named the successor to the current Promotion Coordinator. I also will administrate the five station websites and our job website (cumulusjobs.com). Once those get going I will add links to this blog. With the new promotions position I will be going to lots of places that should be interesting enough to share with you guys. This is the first time I have ever 'blogged' so forgive me if it lacks in knowledge of how a blog is supposed to go.
